Tournament Format

All players will begin in round robin group play, placed in groups of four. After completing group matches, players will be placed into four separate seeded brackets based on how they placed in their group:

  • πŸ₯‡ Gold Bracket – 1st place finishers

  • πŸ₯ˆ Silver Bracket – 2nd place finishers

  • πŸ₯‰ Bronze Bracket – 3rd place finishers

  • πŸŽ–οΈ Copper Bracket – 4th and lower place finishers

No matter how you perform in the group stage, you’ll move on to bracket play and have a chance to compete for prize money within your tier.

Each player is guaranteed a minimum of 5 matches (3 in group play, 2 in bracket play) — and many will play more!

If we draw more than 32 players, bracket play will begin as single elimination before transitioning to double elimination at the semi-finals (Round of 4). This structure will ensure everyone gets multiple matches and top players receive a competitive outcome all while keeping the event on schedule.

Tie Breakers:

In the event of a tie, we will use the following format to decide a winner:

  • Head-to-head
  • Head-to-head games
  • Head-to-head points

Awards and Prizes:

Each division's winner will receive a percentage of the total prize money. Higher percentages for the more competitive brackets incentivizes competitive play and reduces sandbagging. Percentages are estimates. Actual winnings depend on total prize pool amount and will be adjusted so all division winners receive winnings.

  • πŸ₯‡ Gold Bracket – 50%

  • πŸ₯ˆ Silver Bracket – 25%

  • πŸ₯‰ Bronze Bracket – 15%

  • πŸŽ–οΈ Copper Bracket – 10%

All gold bracket placers will receive a drop-in punch card.

Rules of Play

Games are all self-officiated and scores are self-recorded.

  • All matches are played best 3 out of 5 games
  • Games are played to 11 points, win by 2
  • If the scores are tied at game point 10:10, players alternate serves every point until one player wins by 2
  • For a serve to be legal, the ball must be tossed 6 inches up out of a flat palm behind the back line of the table
  • The serve must bounce once on each side of the table before the point commences
  • If the ball hits the net and does not clear on the serve, the server loses a point. If it touches the net on its way over, a 'let' is called, and the server re-serves the ball
  • Players switch sides of the table after each game
  • If players disagree on the call of a specific shot or point, it will result in a re-do
  • Edge deflections are called by the direction the ball deflects. If it pops up, it is legal. If it deflects downward it is not
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY - HAVE FUN!
