The Oversight Board to the Successor Agency of the Arcata Community Development Agency (“Oversight Board”) was created by redevelopment dissolution law to review, direct, and approve certain actions of the Successor Agency. The Oversight Board was tasked with reviewing Successor Agency decisions for compliance with dissolution law. In addition, the Oversight Board had a fiduciary responsibility to the taxing entities affected by redevelopment. The City’s local Oversight board was dissolved in 2016. The responsibilities of the Oversight Board of the Successor Agency to the Arcata Community Development Agency were assumed by the Countywide Oversight Board.
