The City of Arcata is thrilled to invite residents to learn about the Valley West Community Center Draft Assessment Report and tour potential sites on Saturday, Oct 11 at Valley West Park.
The City of Arcata recently received grant funding to complete conceptual planning for a new community center in the Valley West neighborhood. The vision for the community center is to create a space for residents to engage in recreational and community activities.
After several months of community engagement and site analysis, the City is excited to share the Draft Assessment Report and provide a walking tour of three possible sites for a future community center. During the event, staff would love to hear feedback on the Draft Assessment Report and invites the community to join in on the walking tour!
The tour will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. departing from Valley West Park. For those who can’t join the tour, come by Valley West Park anytime between 3 – 5 p.m. to learn more. Food will be provided for event participants.
