[ARCHIVED] 2020 Summer Camp Enrollment Begins on Wednesday, June 3

Marsh Explorers Camp

The City of Arcata’s Recreation Division has been certified by Humboldt County’s Emergency Operations Center to operate a Summer Camp Child Care Program. Open enrollment for the 2020 summer camp season will begin Wednesday, June 3 at 9 AM.

A variety of camps are offered, with some lasting up to ten weeks, for youth and teens ranging from 5-12 years of age, in addition to a Camp Leader in Training Program for teens age 13-17.

Modifications to normal camp operations have been made to ensure compliance with State and County health and safety regulations. Each camp will be limited to ten campers, up to two camp Leaders in Training and one staff member. Face coverings, physical distancing and other COVID-19 health and safety protocol will be in place to ensure the safety of participants and employees. Additional time will be taken for wellness screenings, and drop-off and pick-up times will be staggered. To limit community contact, field trips, swim days, large group games and sleepovers will not be offered.

A complete list of camp offerings and registration details can be found here.
