Green Waste Recycling

By recycling organics and green waste, we can create compost and/or clean energy, which will help reduce the impacts of climate change. For the most up-to-date information, visit our Composting and Green Waste page.

Bins

Humboldt Waste Management Authority (HWMA) has compost bins available at the transfer station for $35 each. They come in a box as a 3x12-foot piece of plastic that can be clipped into a cylinder of various diameters by matching up the horizontal slots. Buy one while supplies last.

Visit the HWMA at 1059 West Hawthorne St, Eureka, CA 9550, or check out the website to learn more about the GeoBin composting system. If you have any other questions, call HWMA at (707)268-8680.
