    Visit the Arcata Plaza Winter Farmers' Market to purchase the freshest Humboldt-County-Grown & GMO-free produce along with plants, meats and other locally-made products. Please leave your pets at home when you visit the market. Multiple State, County and Municipal regulations prohibit pets at Certified Farmers' Markets. Unauthorized vending or smoking are also prohibited. The Winter Farmers' Market takes place rain or shine - no matter the weather each Saturday, our local farmers will be there!

Volunteer Work Days

  1. Help Clean Up Janes Creek & Westwood Manor Park

    March 14, 2020, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Volunteers are asked to meet at 9 AM at the intersection of Foster Avenue and Heather Lane in Arcata. From there, participants will walk to the work site.

    We are seeking volunteers to assist with clean up & restoration efforts at Janes Creek and Westwood Manor Park! This work day serves as a wonderful opportunity for participants to learn more about creek ecosystem health, and volunteers will have the opportunity to play an integral role in preventing sediment runoff, micro-plastic ocean pollution and future creek degradation by participating. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and work will take place rain or shine. There will be a variety of tasks to be completed, so participants will be able to select the work that best fits their comfort level. Meet at 9 AM at the intersection of Foster Avenue and Heather Lane in Arcata. From there, participants will walk to the work site. Volunteers are encouraged to wear a long-sleeved shirt, work pants and boots and to bring gloves and a reusable water bottle. Some gloves and tools will be provided, and a complimentary lunch will be served at the conclusion of the work day.
