    Visit the Arcata Plaza Winter Farmers' Market to purchase the freshest Humboldt-County-Grown & GMO-free produce along with plants, meats and other locally-made products. Please leave your pets at home when you visit the market. Multiple State, County and Municipal regulations prohibit pets at Certified Farmers' Markets. Unauthorized vending or smoking are also prohibited. The Winter Farmers' Market takes place rain or shine - no matter the weather each Saturday, our local farmers will be there!

Volunteer Work Days

  1. Help Maintain Trails in the Arcata Community Forest

    February 22, 2020, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Participants are asked to meet at 9 AM at the Community Forest parking lot located on Fickle Hill Road. From there, volunteers will carpool to the work site at Trail #12.

    The Environmental Services Department and the Humboldt Trails Council Volunteer Trail Stewards are seeking volunteers to assist with maintaining Trail #12 at the Arcata Community Forest on Saturday, February 22 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Participants of all ages are welcome, and there will be a variety of tasks to be completed, so volunteers will be able to select the work that best fits their comfort level. Work will take place rain or shine. Participants are asked to meet at 9 AM at the Community Forest parking lot located on Fickle Hill Road. From there, volunteers will carpool to the work site. Participants are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle, gloves and to wear protective footwear and clothing. Extra gloves and tools will be provided, and lunch will be served at the end of the work day.
