This family-friendly event includes a neighborhood clean-up from 9 AM to 12 PM, and following the clean-up there will be food, music and fun from 12 to 3 PM. This event is free and all are welcome!

A wide array of local, farm fresh foods are available at the year-round Arcata Plaza Farmers’ Market! Visit the market each week to enjoy the freshest fruits and vegetables, humanely raised meats and eggs, honey, jams, flowers and plant starts. Depending on the time of year, local goat cheese and fresh caught fish can also be found. This market also features the very best bands of Humboldt County, with performances each week from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The Arcata Plaza Farmers' Market is open every Saturday rain or shine! Please leave your 4-legged friends at home because multiple State, County and Municipal regulations prohibit pets at Certified Farmers' Markets and food facilities. Please also note that smoking of any kind or unauthorized vending is not permitted.

Join Friends of the Arcata Marsh (FOAM) volunteers for a tour of the wildlife sanctuary. This free tour takes place rain or shine! No reservations are necessary. Participants are instructed to meet at the Interpretive Center at 2 PM.

The City of Arcata’s Environmental Services Department and the Humboldt Trails Council’s Volunteer Trail Stewards invite volunteers to help maintain trails in the Arcata Community Forest on Saturday, July 27 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Volunteers are asked to meet at 9 AM at the Community Forest parking lot on Fickle Hill Road, near Trail 9. Carpooling is encouraged, as parking is limited. From there, volunteers will walk to Trail 15. Participants of all ages are welcome. There will be a variety of tasks to be completed, so volunteers can choose what level of exertion they are comfortable with. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and to bring water and extra work gloves, if available. Some gloves, tools, lunch and beverages will be provided.
