Visit the market each week to enjoy the freshest fruits and vegetables, humanely raised meats and eggs, honey, jams, flowers and plant starts. Depending on the time of year, local goat cheese and fresh caught fish can also be found. This market also features the very best bands of Humboldt County, with performances each week from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The Arcata Plaza Farmers' Market is open every Saturday rain or shine! Please leave your 4-legged friends at home because multiple State, County and Municipal regulations prohibit pets at Certified Farmers' Markets and food facilities. Please also note that smoking of any kind or unauthorized vending is not permitted.

Join Friends of the Arcata Marsh (FOAM) volunteers for a tour of the wildlife sanctuary. This free tour takes place rain or shine! No reservations are necessary. Participants are instructed to meet at the Interpretive Center at 2 PM.

Our Environmental Services Department is seeking volunteers to assist with removing invasive plants at Janes Creek near Stromberg Avenue on Saturday, October 12 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Volunteers are asked to meet at 9 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church parking lot, located at 2450 Alliance Road in Arcata. From there, participants will walk to the work site. Work will include removing invasive plants from Janes Creek, and participants of all ages are welcome. Volunteers are encouraged to wear a long-sleeved shirt, work pants and boots and to bring gloves and a reusable water bottle. Some gloves, tools, lunch and beverages will be provided.
