We Are Your Community will kick off Humboldt State University's 20th Annual Campus Dialogue on Race with a day of community building, cultural sharing and fun activities for the whole family from 9 am to 1 pm! Please leave your 4-legged friends at home because multiple State, County and Municipal regulations prohibit pets at Certified Farmers' Markets and food facilities. Bring your binoculars and have a great morning birding! Join Redwood Region Audubon Society volunteers for a guided bird walk tour of the Arcata Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary. No reservations are required! This free tour takes place rain or shine, is open to all-ages.
Participants are instructed to meet in the parking lot at the end of South I Street near Klopp Lake at 8:30 am.

The City of Arcata’s Environmental Services Department and the Humboldt Trails Council’s Volunteer Trail Stewards invite volunteers to participate in national Make A Difference Day by helping to maintain trails in the Arcata Community Forest on Saturday, October 27 from 9 am to 1 pm. Volunteers are asked to meet at 9 am at the Community Forest parking lot on Fickle Hill Road, located near the entrance of Trail 9. Carpooling is encouraged, as parking is limited. From there, volunteers will walk to the south end of Trail 4. Work will include watering ferns, cleaning trail bridges and stairs, armoring (rocking) trails and naturalizing unsanctioned trails. Volunteers are encouraged to wear a long-sleeved shirt, work pants and boots and to bring water and extra work gloves, if available. Some gloves, tools, lunch and beverages will be provided.
