    Visit the Arcata Plaza Winter Farmers' Market to purchase the freshest Humboldt-County-Grown & GMO-free produce along with plants, meats and other locally-made products. Please leave your pets at home when you visit the market. Multiple State, County and Municipal regulations prohibit pets at Certified Farmers' Markets. Unauthorized vending or smoking are also prohibited. The Winter Farmers' Market takes place rain or shine - no matter the weather each Saturday, our local farmers will be there!

Volunteer Work Days

  1. Help Maintain the Humboldt Bay Trail

    January 25, 2020, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Participants are asked to meet at 9 AM at the volunteer staging area in front of the City of Arcata’s Corporation Yard, located at 600 South G Street. Volunteers who plan on driving are asked to park in the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary Parking lot

    Join the Environmental Services Department & the Humboldt Trails Council Volunteer Trail Stewards to help maintain the Humboldt Bay Trail North. Volunteers will be removing invasive plants, weed whacking and cleaning up the trail beginning at the southernmost end of the trail through the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary and concluding work in the Creamery District. All ages are welcome, and work will take place rain or shine. There will be a variety of tasks to be completed, so volunteers will be able to select the work that best fits their comfort level. Participants are asked to meet at 9 AM in front of the City's Corporation Yard, located at 600 South G Street, and volunteers are asked to park in the Arcata Marsh Parking lot located on South G Street. Participants are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle, gloves and to wear protective footwear and clothing. Extra gloves and tools will be provided, and lunch will be served at the end of the work day.
