NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
ARCATA COMMUNITY CENTER
ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS INSTALLATION
The City of Arcata (City) is soliciting bids for the Arcata Community Center Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Installation. The Project involves installation of four (4) City-supplied ChargePoint CT4000 electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS), installation of electrical infrastructure associated with the EVCS, to be connected to an existing electrical service, as well as trenching/boring and backfill necessary for these installations, and restriping of ADA parking spaces in the parking lot of the Arcata Community Center, located at 321 Dr. MLK Parkway in Arcata, CA.
The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, incidentals necessary to complete the project as detailed in the attached Scope of Work (Attachment A), and Plans and Technical Specifications (Attachment C). Engineer's Estimate: $17,500.
Interested bidders are invited to attend an optional (non-mandatory) pre-bid walk-through at the job site, 321 Dr. MLK Parkway, Arcata, California, on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.
Projected duration of this project is February 16, 2021 through March 16, 2021.
Proposals will be received at the City Manager’s Office, 736 F Street, Arcata, California until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Proposals must be submitted within a sealed envelope labeled: “Arcata Community Center Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Installation.” All responses must be made on the Bid Proposal and Schedule provided in Attachment B to be considered for award. The Request for Proposals Package for this Work can be obtained on the City’s website, www.cityofarcata.org under “Bids.”
The Contractor must possess a Class “A” license or a “C-10” license at the time this contract is bid, or a combination of classes required by the categories and type of work included in this contract. The Contractor must obtain a valid Business License from the City of Arcata prior to commencing work and demonstrate the necessary qualifications to complete the work described in the Scope of Work. The selected contractor will enter into a construction contract (Attachment D - Sample Construction Contract) prior to commencing work.
The City of Arcata has determined that prevailing wages apply to this Project. The selected contractor must register with the State Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 prior to award of a contract.
