The City of Arcata Transit Division, Humboldt Transit Authority and Cal Poly Humboldt are excited to announce the new Green and Gold bus route created to aid residents and Cal Poly Humboldt students living in Arcata to get from home to campus and work.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 21, the new Green and Gold Route will begin operating in the City of Arcata. The route will operate Monday – Friday from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and then again from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. These hours are intended to help residents and students living north of Foster Avenue and in the Valley West area get to campus in the morning and back home at night. Because of a high need for bus drivers across Humboldt County and to help keep costs down for the new route, the 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. stretch of the day, when many residents and students are on campus for classes or work, has been selected to have only regular bus service through the Red and Gold routes.
The City of Arcata welcomes new and returning students to the community and invites them to take advantage of this new route as well as existing ones!
