Winning the battle vs. ivy at Janes Creek, thanks to Arcata's amazing volunteers!
On Saturday, 16 volunteers from the Humboldt Fish Action Council and the Humboldt State University Natural Resources Club took up picks and loppers in the ongoing struggle against invasive ivy at Janes Creek. Their efforts are transforming the creekside from an ivy desert to a mixed native species landscape. Thank you for your hard work! The next volunteer workday will be on Saturday, March 22 in the Arcata Community Forest when volunteers will restore and naturalize illegal campsites.
