Thank you to Saturday's volunteer trail builders
The City sends out a big thank you to all 35 people who worked hard on the South Fork Janes Creek Loop Trail on Saturday. The volunteers cleared 3,000 feet of brush along the trail corridor and constructed a major wood crib retaining wall in preparation for trail head construction on Saturday, February 22. The next volunteer work day will be at the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday, February 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone's welcome to meet at the first parking lot on the left as you drive down South I Street from Samoa Boulevard. Volunteers will remove invasive species and trash from this Arcata open space gem.
