42 volunteers mulch and plant to improve Janes Creek habitat on April 13

The City sends out a huge thank you to the 42 Americorps volunteers, Arcata High School biology students, and California Conservation Corps, Humboldt State University Natural Resources Club and Humboldt Fish Action Council members who shaded out invasive reed canary grass and planted shade trees along Janes Creek on Saturday, April 13. Your hard work makes Arcata better for everyone, fish included! The next work day will be Saturday, April 20, at Janes Creek for Earth Day. Call (707) 825-2163 for more information.
