McDaniel Slough Project levee construction begins Monday, August 13

The final construction phase of the City's McDaniel Slough Wetlands Restoration/Enhancement project begins on Monday, August 13. City contractor Hooven Construction will build a levee and connect the levee system to the Highway 255 roadway levee. Humboldt Bay's waters will be reintroduced to the project area, restoring fish passageways and benefiting other bird, invertebrate and fish species, sometime in 2013.
