Transportation Safety Committee Members
The Transportation Safety Committee consists of seven members who shall reflect, as much as possible, interest in all transportation modes, including pedestrian, bicyclist, mass transit and skateboarding in the City of Arcata. Of the seven members, five must live within Arcata City limits and two may live or work in the Arcata Planning Area. See current vacancies and residency qualifications.
Terms
Committee members serve three year staggered terms ending October 31.

Powers and Duties
The powers and duties of the Transportation Safety Committee are as specified in the Arcata Municipal Code, Sections 2242 to 2245. These powers and duties are to review all transportation safety matters and make recommendations to the Council, Commissions or City staff as appropriate.
