The Energy Committee was established in 2000 by the adoption of Ordinance No. 1305, which was amended in 2005 by Ordinance No. 1352. The Committee's primary function is to make recommendations and provide information to the City Council and Commissions regarding energy efficiency, energy conservation and conversion to greener energy sources. The Energy Committee’s powers and duties are outlined in Arcata Municipal Code Sections 2260 to 2263.
Meetings & Agendas
Meetings are held the third Monday of each month, or at the call of the Chair, at 5:30 p.m. in the Arcata City Council Chamber. See the meeting agenda and archives.
The Energy Committee shall consist of seven members who are selected for their interest, knowledge or experience in energy usage, conservation, regulation and/or generation.
