A camp designed for the Adventure Seeker to gain outdoor adventure skills to apply on your lifelong adventures. The Arcata Community Forest offers thousands of acres of exploration at your fingertips. Campers will build confidence and develop expertise in navigating our Northcoast environment. Traverse through low ropes course elements testing your balance and problem solving. Challenge individual limits. Learn safety and survival skills. It's a week of exploration in the Redwoods. Each week offers new activities and adventures.
Location: Arcata Ropes Course, 14th Street Entrance, Redwood Park
Ages: 10 -14 years
Day/Times: Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Weekly Camp Fees: $95 /Add $10 non-resident fee per registration.

June 16-20 Wilderness Survival Shelter building, knots, water rescue
June 30-July 3 (No camp July 4th) Tracking Camouflage, hiking track identification
July 14-18 Navigation and Orienteering Questing, compasses, maps, gps
Aug 11-15 Fire Safety and Cooking Fire Building, Forest Fires, Camp Safety
Aug 18-22 Adventure Prep Backpacking, first aid, evacuation
Day Camp Combo:
Combine Adventure Camp with a morning camp for a full day of fun.
Sorry, transportation is not provided to or from the Arcata Skate Park or Marsh.
Fees: $130 residents / $150 non-residents
Payment plans are available:
Pay for your first week in full and reserve additional weeks with just a $25 non-refundable deposit per week.The remaining balance must be received by the Monday prior to the registered week.
Leaders: We have brought together a great groups of leaders and vendors to make your summer a blast! The City of Arcata has some of the best staff around and all have outstanding safety records. Our team of fun-loving first aid and CPR certificated leaders are experts in their activities.
