Agenda Posting

The City Clerk is responsible for ensuring compliance with state-mandated noticing requirements for all city meetings and public hearings as per the Ralph M. Brown Act (Government Code § 54954).

The Arcata City Council meets regularly on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber, Arcata City Hall, 736 F Street, Arcata, CA 95521. Council-appointed boards, commissions and committees meet monthly. Check the calendar for meeting dates, times and locations.

All meetings are open to the public, with the exception of closed sessions. Time is allowed during every meeting for the public to speak.

City Council Agendas are published on the Friday preceding the meeting.  All meeting agendas are posted outside the F Street entrance to City Hall on the bulletin board and on the City's website by 5:00 p.m., on Fridays. Citizens may pick up meeting agendas in the City Hall lobby beginning on the Friday preceding a meeting.

A full copy of the City Council agenda packet, with all supporting staff reports and materials, is available online or can be viewed in the binder in the lobby at City Hall or at the Arcata Branch Library.

Agendas for all City meetings are posted on this website on the City Council page and each specific board, commission or committee page.
