Ourcata: Meet Heidi Groszmann, Park Ranger

Park Ranger Heidi Groszmann works for the Arcata Police Department’s Special Services Division and is in charge of patrolling and preserving the city’s parks, the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary, the Aldergrove Marsh, and the Arcata Community Forest. “People come from all over the world to see the redwoods,” says Ranger Heidi. “Tread lightly on the forest and clean up after yourself. It’s important to preserve the forest for future generations.” Watch a video of Heidi at work.
